Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck centers on Urza, Lord High Artificer to generate overwhelming mana and card advantage while suppressing opposing development. The early game focuses on deploying artifact ramp and asymmetric stax pieces such as Winter Orb, Trinisphere, and Back to Basics. Urza breaks parity on these lock pieces by tapping them before your turn begins to turn off their symmetrical restrictions. Once control is established, the deck transitions into compact infinite mana combos, primarily Isochron Scepter imprinted with Dramatic Reversal or Basalt Monolith paired with Rings of Brighthearth. With unbounded mana online, Urza's activated ability exiles and casts the entire library, finishing the table immediately with Thassa's Oracle, Walking Ballista, or Aetherflux Reservoir. Robust countermagic and Defense Grid protect the win condition, while redundant backup plans ensure lethality even if Urza is removed.
