Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos engine focused on accumulating massive Treasure stockpiles and converting them into card draw, board control, and lethal table-wide damage. The deck develops early ramp and token generators before resolving Smaug to generate immediate Treasure bursts and trigger steady card draw with each spell cast using Treasure mana. Primary win conditions center on token-sacrifice pingers such as Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and Reckless Fireweaver, which drain opponents simultaneously as Treasures are spent. Backed by formidable Dragons like Goldspan Dragon, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, the deck overwhelms the table through relentless burn, evasive combat, and explosive late-game mana advantage.
