Deck overview

This Gruul Voltron deck leverages Wolverine, Best There Is to eliminate opponents through doubled combat damage. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost ramp spells and dorks to deploy Wolverine ahead of schedule. Mid-game turns equip Wolverine with power buffs, double strike, and evasion, turning modest power increases into single-swing commander damage knockouts. Supported by protective spells like Heroic Intervention and Deflecting Swat, the deck shields its commander while taking out one player per turn. High-end threats like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Aggravated Assault offer additional combat phases to accelerate the table clock. While the deck possesses explosive single-target burst and strong creature resilience, it lacks instant creature removal and broad stack control, making proactive aggression its primary form of pressure.
