This Grixis midrange deck harnesses Sauron, the Dark Lord to generate immense board presence and card velocity. Built heavily around The Lord of the Rings mechanics, the strategy accelerates into Sauron on Turn 5 using efficient mana rocks. As opponents cast spells, Sauron passively amasses a formidable Orc Army. Connecting with this Army triggers the Ring's temptation, allowing you to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards each combat. This constant hand churning fuels a potent reanimator subtheme, filling the graveyard with colossal threats like The Balrog of Moria, Sauron, Lord of the Rings, and Witch-king, Sky Scourge, which return en masse via Living Death or Extract from Darkness.
