Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger Combo strategy built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun. The game plan focuses on mana acceleration, heavy card selection through low-mana cantrips, and efficient reactive disruption while developing toward the commander's strict {U}{U}{U}{R}{R}{R} mana requirement. The primary win condition is a two-card infinite combo between Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity (or Tandem Lookout). Once assembled, dealing damage triggers a card draw, which in turn triggers Niv-Mizzet to deal another damage, creating an infinite machine-gun loop that wipes out opposing life totals or draws into Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. The deck utilizes transmute tutors like Dizzy Spell and Drift of Phantasms for redundancy, backed by solid countermagic and board sweepers to survive into the mid-to-late game. Secondary threats including The Locust God, Psychosis Crawler, and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind ensure resilient backup lines if the primary commander is contested.
