Deck overview

This deck is a Naya midrange strategy centered on Toph, the First Metalbender. Toph converts all nontoken artifacts into lands and animates lands into recursive 0/0 creatures with haste, +1/+1 counters, and a built-in safety net that returns them to the battlefield tapped if destroyed or exiled. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using low-cost mana rocks and land tutors, deploys Toph on Turn 4, and builds a resilient board of animated land creatures. By Turn 6, heavy combat enablers such as Bumi, Unleashed and Byrke, Long Ear of the Law amplify power and grant additional combat phases to close out the game over two combat rotations. Plan shielding from equipment and hexproof-granting utility creatures shields key pieces, while the intrinsic recursion of earthbent lands blunts the impact of opposing board wipes.
