Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is commanded by Fumulus, the Infestation, a legendary creature that turns sacrifice into both flying board presence and life drain. The deck leverages symmetry-breaking edict creatures such as Fleshbag Marauder, Accursed Marauder, and Demon's Disciple. Whenever any player sacrifices a nontoken creature, Fumulus spawns 1/1 flying Insect tokens. These tokens fuel further sacrifice outlets, trigger life drain from Blood Artist and Mirkwood Bats, and attack to trigger Fumulus's built-in life-drain ability. Mana acceleration relies on standard artifact ramp and treasure generators like Pitiless Plunderer, while recursion spells like Dread Return and Behold the Sinister Six! ensure long-term staying power. By systematically stripping away opposing creatures and building an evasive swarm, the deck establishes an oppressive combat and aristocrat clock that closes out games around turn 8.
