Deck overview

This Simic deck is a Mutant-tribal, +1/+1 counter aggro-midrange strategy commanded by Genghis Frog. The core game plan revolves around casting Genghis Frog early to generate Mutagen artifact tokens whenever Mutants enter the battlefield. By sacrificing Mutagens and leveraging synergy pieces like Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11, Mutagen Man, Living Ooze, and Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist, the deck rapidly inflates its creature base with +1/+1 counters. Combat damage is pushed through utilizing natural trample, evasion enablers like Michelangelo, Mutant BFF, and vehicle doubling effects from Turtle Van. The deck transitions into a lethal clock around Turn 7, closing games across sequential attacks bolstered by blowout interaction like Cyclonic Rift. While lacking fast mana and stax locks, the deck maintains steady on-curve development, resilient recovery due to low commander casting costs, and targeted protection through efficient green instants like Veil of Summer and Saved by the Shell.
