Deck overview

Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait leads a Simic landfall ramp deck designed to generate massive resource advantages by playing extra lands and converting land drops into steady card draw. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early ramp creatures and enchantments like Sakura-Tribe Scout, Cultivate, and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove to cast Aesi ahead of curve. Once online, landfall engines like Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer, Zendikar's Roil, and Sapling Nursery construct a formidable army of creature tokens. The deck closes games by overwhelming opponents with Craterhoof Behemoth, flattening defenses with Stormtide Leviathan and Tromokratis, or drawing the entire library through Cultivator Colossus into Laboratory Maniac.
