Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and combat clone strategy built around Muddle, the Ever-Changing. The game plan revolves around deploying high-impact nonlegendary creatures with potent attack, damage, or enter-the-battlefield triggers, such as Terror of the Peaks, Goldspan Dragon, and Curiosity Crafter. By casting cheap one-mana cantrips like Slip Through Space or Opt-style spells, Muddle transforms into a copy of that creature with myriad. When Muddle attacks, it generates temporary token copies attacking every opponent, tripling enter-the-battlefield triggers and combat damage. The deck backs up this strategy with alternate copy engines like Rionya, Fire Dancer and Vesuvan Duplimancy, efficient counterspells, and target-protection instants. It reliably reaches critical pressure on Turn 5 and closes the game on Turn 6 via explosive burn or extra combat steps.
