Deck overview

This deck is a aggressive Boros Voltron strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. It accelerates out its commander on Turn 3 and begins suiting her up with Equipment, Auras, and double-strike enablers by Turn 4. Lightning's Stagger ability creates an escalating damage multiplier: once she deals combat damage, all subsequent damage to that player or their permanents is doubled until your next turn. Combining double strike with Stagger allows Lightning to deal regular damage doubled in the very same combat step, rapidly threatening commander-damage knockouts. The list supplements this focused aggro plan with goad effects like Taunt from the Rampart and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos to force opponents into attacking each other while opening clear paths for lethal swings. Backed by a dense package of indestructible and hexproof protection spells, the deck aims to eliminate opponents sequentially across Turns 5 through 7.
