Deck overview

This deck is a high-impact Boros Voltron strategy commanded by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning's Stagger mechanic acts as a built-in damage amplifier: whenever she deals combat damage to an opponent, all subsequent damage dealt to that player is doubled until your next turn. Pairing Lightning with double strike causes her first-strike combat damage to trigger Stagger before her regular combat damage resolves, allowing her to deal massive chunks of commander damage in a single combat step. The deck backs this primary engine with an aggressive equipment suite, cost-reduction effects, and a dense package of extra-combat enablers like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Port Razer. Card draw engines like Akiri, Fearless Voyager and Mask of Memory maintain card velocity, while protection spells like Boros Charm and Restoration Magic shield the commander. The game plan focuses on eliminating opponents sequentially between Turns 5 and 7.
