Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck centers on Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker to create a recurring engine powered by creatures with power 1 or less. Because Shirei triggers at the beginning of each end step, the deck extracts value on all four turns of every table rotation. By sacrificing low-power creatures to free sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder, it triggers continuous drain via Serrated Scorpion and Blood Artist, draws cards through Mindless Automaton, and repeatedly wipes opposing boards with Abyssal Gatekeeper and Bone Shredder. Dense protection suites including Dark Privilege and Blessing of Leeches keep Shirei alive against removal, while backup win conditions like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Syr Konrad, the Grim provide burst reach. The deck excels at grinding out opponents through asymmetric attrition.
