Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black artifact midrange strategy led by Imotekh the Stormlord that weaponizes the graveyard to flood the board with 2/2 Necron Warrior artifact creature tokens. By pairing self-mill and sacrifice outlets with recurring graveyard retrieval effects, the deck consistently triggers Imotekh's token-generating ability. It accelerates into the mid-game through a dense suite of mana rocks and cost-reducers before establishing continuous card advantage with sacrifice engines like Chronomancer and Tarrian's Journal. The primary win condition is an overwhelming board of menacing Necron tokens enhanced by Skorpekh Lord and Cranial Plating, supplemented by heavy non-combat life loss from Marionette Master and Syr Konrad, the Grim. Mass reanimation spells such as Living Death provide explosive comeback potential. While resilient against single-target removal due to high redundancy in graveyard recursion, the deck is vulnerable to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile effects and farewell-style sweepers.
