Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis midrange build commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It accelerates into Sauron using dense 2-CMC artifact ramp, establishing an engine that amasses Orc Armies whenever opponents cast spells. Combat damage from these armies or playing Ring-tempting spells triggers Sauron's ability to discard depleted hands and draw four cards repeatedly. This continuous hand-churning rapidly deploys the full suite of 9 Nazgûl, each pumping the entire Wraith team upon every temptation. Backed by secondary token engines like Lord of the Nazgûl and Saruman, the White Hand, the deck overwhelms the table through massive, evasive combat damage by Turn 7. Sauron's punishing Ward ability and high-tier defensive staples like Fierce Guardianship and Orcish Bowmasters ensure strong resilience against opposing interaction.
