Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic token-swarm and +1/+1 counter engine commanded by The Astonishing Ant-Man. The primary strategy turns card draw into +1/+1 counters on the commander, which are subsequently converted into an army of 1/1 green Insect creature tokens. Dense 1- and 2-drop ramp accelerates the commander onto the battlefield on Turn 2, followed immediately by continuous draw engines like Rhystic Study, The One Ring, and Teferi's Ageless Insight. Once a critical mass of tokens is assembled on Turn 4, the deck transitions into a lethal threat on Turn 5 using mass anthems like Beastmaster Ascension, counter payoffs like Simic Ascendancy, or direct life drain via Throne of the God-Pharaoh. While the deck possesses massive card velocity and dependable recovery, its reliance on combat damage and sorcery-speed token accumulation leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
