Deck overview

This is a casual-to-mid-power Oloro, Ageless Ascetic life-gain deck with a real compact finish. The main plan is to assemble Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood, then use Oloro, Ageless Ascetic in the command zone to start an infinite life-loss loop. Tutors give the deck better access than a normal creature-based life-gain list, and Sanguine Bond offers a related payoff. The central weakness is speed: the deck has almost no acceleration, many tapped lands, and expensive tutors. It therefore spends several turns exposed before its lethal engine is usable. Creature and enchantment interaction is present, but stack interaction and broad protection are thin. If the combo is disrupted, the deck can return to incremental life gain, token production, and drain through cards such as Marauding Blight-Priest, Queza, Augur of Agonies, and Kambal, Consul of Allocation, but those plans are much slower and do not provide the same certainty as the main combo.
