Deck overview

This deck is a fast Mardu aggro deck led by Tsagan, Raider Warlord, built to exploit keyword density—specifically first strike and double strike—to overwhelm the table with exponential combat damage. The game plan deploys low-cost first-strike and double-strike creatures in the opening turns, casts Tsagan on curve, and attacks on Turn 4 with amplifiers like Isshin, Two Heavens as One, Blade Historian, or Windcrag Siege. Tsagan buffs the entire attacking team for each creature with first or double strike, enabling massive swings that quickly drain opposing life totals. Free and low-cost interaction like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Flawless Maneuver protects the commander and board while preserving mana for steady creature deployment. As the speed counter reaches maximum, Tsagan grants universal first strike and gains deathtouch, making blocks disastrous for defenders and securing a multi-opponent kill across consecutive attack phases.
