Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggro-tempo build commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The core strategy revolves around ramping into Kaalia by Turn 3 or 4, protecting her with haste equipment, and attacking to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. High-impact threats such as Master of Cruelties allow for immediate single-player eliminations, while Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Archfiend of Despair, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight quickly establish an insurmountable board state. The deck also includes asymmetric stax pieces like Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Iona, Shield of Emeria, alongside mass land destruction via Armageddon to seal victories once an advantageous board is established. Backup win conditions include an infinite combat combo with Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host.
