Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest is a legendary-Wizard spellslinger deck. It floods the board with legendary Wizards, then uses Gandalf's free beginning-of-combat cast to cheat on mana, primarily with Flying Crane Technique and Full Throttle as a one-shot combat kill. Secondary paths are Insurrection with other players' creatures and Niv-Mizzet, Parun as a draw-and-ping finisher. Its wizards both increase the commander's X and generate incidental tokens through Kykar, Talrand, and Deekah. The commander is both the mana engine and the reason to keep the Wizard count high; no hidden commander is used. The deck is a value engine that can be fast, but it is deliberately fragile rather than a compact combo build.
