Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Abzan midrange combo deck led by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The core strategy pairs disruptive stax creatures with a fast, resilient infinite combo. Fast mana and cheap creature tutors quickly assemble Devoted Druid and Swift Reconfiguration, which produce infinite green mana. Tayam converts this mana and counter manipulation into repeatable reanimation of cards with mana value 3 or less, milling the library and returning aristocrat sacrifice loops with Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim to drain the entire table in a single turn. Proactive stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Collector Ouphe slow down faster opponents, while protection spells like Grand Abolisher and Silence ensure uninterrupted combo execution. If disrupted, the deck leverages deep recursion to rebuild immediately.
