Deck overview

This Izzet Spellslinger deck is commanded by Vivi Ornitier, an engine that grows in power, pings each opponent on every noncreature spell cast, and converts its power into a massive burst of mana once per turn. The deck's primary game plan leverages damage-based draw triggers—most notably Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Tandem Lookout—which draw three cards per noncreature spell because Vivi deals damage to all three opponents simultaneously. This explosive card draw fuels continuous cantrips, rapidly inflating Vivi's power, which is then tapped for mana to sustain a single-turn storm finish. The deck finishes via direct ping attrition, massive burn spells like Chandra's Ignition and Crackle with Power, or the infinite two-card combo of Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity. Backed by a premier suite of free and low-cost interaction (Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Mana Drain), the deck combines rapid velocity with resilient protection.
