Deck overview

The Lord of Pain is a group-slug commander who stops lifegain and taxes every player's first spell, making the table bleed just by playing Magic. The primary plan is to land him by turn four or five, then use cheap burn, draw-punishers, and commander triggers to lower all life totals at once. Secondary paths are the Heartless Hidetsugu + Neheb, the Eternal mana engine that fires a huge Banefire, and a Kefka, Dancing Mad + Pain for All + Blasphemous Act wipe that deals 13 to each opponent. The deck has no infinite combo; it wins by attrition, then closes with table-wide damage. There is no hidden commander in the 99.
