Lawa's Landfall by tapforfoam

Format: Commander

Commander: Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Simic deck uses Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait to turn extra land drops into cards. You ramp early, land Aesi, then use landfall payoffs to build a wide board of tokens while drawing through your deck. Rampaging Baloths, Scute Swarm, Sporemound, Zendikar's Roil, and Avenger of Zendikar create the army, and Tatyova, Benthic Druid acts as a second copy of your commander. You win by pumping the board with Overrun, Overwhelming Stampede, or Earthshaker Giant and attacking. You have no infinite combos, so you win through combat. Interaction is mostly instant-speed removal for artifacts, enchantments, and creatures, with two counterspells to stop key spells.
