Deck overview

Karador, Ghost Chieftain commands an Abzan reanimator engine designed to exploit the graveyard as an extended hand. The deck utilizes low-cost mana dorks and aggressive self-mill to accelerate its mana curve and fill the graveyard with utility creatures. By Turn 4, it establishes an operational engine using Karador's cost-reduced commander cast, Birthing Pod, or dedicated reanimation spells. The primary win condition revolves around executing infinite sacrifice loops with Karmic Guide, Reveillark, and Saffi Eriksdotter paired with sacrifice outlets like Altar of Dementia or Phyrexian Altar. These loops mill out all opponents or drain their life totals with Zulaport Cutthroat in a single turn. Defensively, the deck protects its combo turns with Grand Abolisher and Veil of Summer, while disrupting opposing strategies with Opposition Agent, Elesh Norn, and recurring edict effects. The deck exhibits outstanding resilience against board wipes, as lost creatures simply lower Karador's tax and reload graveyard targets.
