Savra by Sqweegle

Format: Commander

Commander: Savra, Queen of the Golgari

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Savra, Queen of the Golgari leads a classic Golgari aristocrats machine. The deck's core loop is simple: generate a steady stream of sacrifice fodder (tokens, recursive undead, and self-replacing creatures), then cash each death into life drain, card draw, mana, and opponent creature sacrifice. Savra herself provides a repeatable edict effect and life gain that double as control and stabilization. The primary path to victory is an infinite combo-Phyrexian Altar (or Ashnod's Altar) plus a recurring creature like Reassembling Skeleton plus a drain effect such as Blood Artist-that ends the game in one loop. Backup wins include Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord flinging a massive Lord of Extinction, The Meathook Massacre grind, or Tergrid, God of Fright theft. The deck is resilient to value attacks but vulnerable to graveyard hate and artifact removal.
