Deck overview

This deck is a flavor-rich Boros midrange strategy that fuses Kamigawa's classical lore with Neon Dynasty's modern mechanics. Commanded by Tamiyo, Upriser Crowned, the game plan revolves around leveraging the monarch mechanic alongside solo-attacking Samurai and Warrior synergies. Tamiyo provides immediate offensive presence with flying, haste, and double strike while introducing a defensive shield that stuns creatures that dare attack the monarch. Supporting pieces like Ghostly Prison and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker fortify your throne, while enchantments such as Court of Grace and Court of Ire compound turn-by-turn advantages. Because the deck intentionally incorporates thematic elements like Arcane splice spells, Shrines, and Brothers Yamazaki, it trades competitive efficiency for flavorful storytelling. It operates best in casual mid-power pods where deliberate combat decisions and incremental monarch rewards can overcome opponents over extended rotations.
