Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Group Slug and forced mana burn strategy led by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. It accelerates the entire table by deploying symmetric mana doublers such as Heartbeat of Spring and Mana Flare alongside universal draw engines like Howling Mine and Rites of Flourishing. Once the table is flooded with resources, the deck turns those gifts into lethal liabilities. Yurlok of Scorch Thrash punishes unspent mana by inflicting life loss, while permanents like Manabarbs, Overabundance, Descent into Avernus, and Spiteful Visions tax every tap and draw. Forced combat pieces such as Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Disrupt Decorum direct opposing boards into each other, leaving life totals vulnerable to sudden lethal finishes from Insurrection or overwhelming burn.
