Deck overview

This Gruul midrange deck is commanded by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade and focuses on the modified mechanic, leveraging +1/+1 counters, Auras, and Equipment to build an aggressive, expanding board. The primary game plan ramps into Chishiro by Turn 3 or 4, triggers consistent token creation through cheap modifications, and scales the entire army with end-step +1/+1 counters. By Turn 6, the deck converts its wide board into game-ending combat pressure using amplifiers like Akki Battle Squad, Loyal Guardian, and Champion of Lambholt. While the deck features strong internal creature synergy, sustained draw bursts through power-based card draw, and combat redirection via goad, it lacks dedicated tutors and fast mana. It relies on sequential combat over multiple turns to eliminate three opponents, leaving its creature-heavy board vulnerable to mass sweepers and well-timed removal.
