Elf and saproling things by user8724017

Format: Commander

Commander: Numa, Joraga Chieftain and Tana, the Bloodsower

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Gruul partners deck is built around Tana's combat-triggered Saprolings and Numa's activated counter dump. It is not a fast combo deck: it wins by going wide, then turning that board into mana and +1/+1 counters to make a giant alpha strike. Tana supplies the creature count; Numa is the mana-sink payoff. The closest thing to a hidden commander is Dionus, Elvish Archdruid, which untaps Elves that tap for mana while adding counters; Copperhorn Scout does the same for the rest of the board. Secondary paths use forestwalk from Elvish Champion or Eladamri, Lord of Leaves and token doublers to push through blockers. No infinite combos are present; the finish is combat damage.
