Octavia: L'attaque des tentacuuuules by user9461733

Format: Commander

Commander: Octavia, Living Thesis

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Octavia, Living Thesis is a self-mill tempo deck that fills its graveyard with instants and sorceries, then drops an effectively {2}{U}{U} 8/8 with ward 8. The primary plan is to use Magecraft triggers to turn evasive creatures like Looter il-Kor and Faerie tokens into 8/8s, then win through repeated combat damage. Secondary paths include Kiora, the Rising Tide's 8/8 Scion, a small flyer beatdown plan, and flashback value from Quiet Speculation and Mission Briefing. The commander is both enabler and finisher; without her, the deck slows down considerably. Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy acts as a hidden commander for extra graveyard casting, but the deck is built around Octavia's face.
