Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Sultai graveyard combo strategy piloted by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The primary plan treats Thranduil as a Necrotic Ooze for Elves, absorbing all activated abilities of Elf creature cards in the graveyard. The deck develops rapidly on turns 1 and 2 using dense mana dorks and fast artifacts. On turn 3, single-card enablers like Buried Alive or a zero-basic Hermit Druid activation dump key combo creatures directly into the graveyard. On turn 4, Thranduil enters the battlefield and combines the abilities of Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Wirewood Channeler to generate infinite mana and infinite +1/+1 counters. The deck then draws its entire library and eliminates all opponents simultaneously using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's life-drain ability or a massive Torment of Hailfire. Backed by a premier suite of free countermagic and targeted protection, the deck reliably closes games on turn 4 with zero opponent response cycles.
