Deck overview

This is a three-color Abzan "toughness matters" deck built around Felothar the Steadfast. The core plan is to use cheap defender creatures as blockers, ramp, and draw pieces, then turn on the ability to attack with them via Felothar the Steadfast, Assault Formation, and Bedrock Tortoise. The deck's biggest engine is Felothar's activated sacrifice ability: feeding it a Tree of Redemption or Tree of Perdition after an exchange can draw up to 40 cards while discarding zero, since both Trees have power 0. From that huge grip, the deck wins through Baldin, Century Herdmaster alpha strikes, the Betor, Kin to All plus Wound Reflection end-step kill, or the Tree of Perdition plus Triskadekaphobia alternate elimination. Nethroi, Apex of Death, Luminous Broodmoth, and Valkyrie's Call supply strong board-rebuild capability, making the deck a resilient midrange combo-adjacent engine.
