Deck overview

This Sultai midrange deck is piloted by Teval, the Balanced Scale, focusing on self-mill, land recursion, and graveyard value engines. The early game establishes mana development through ramp creatures and artifacts, allowing Teval to enter on Turn 3 or 4. Once attacking, Teval consistently mills cards, ramps lands from the graveyard, and creates 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens. Mid-game turns compound this advantage with powerful engines such as Muldrotha, the Gravetide, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, and Life from the Loam, filling the graveyard while maintaining substantial board presence. The primary route to victory culminates around Turn 6 by utilizing tutors like Jarad's Orders or Final Parting to deploy Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Lord of Extinction. Sacrificing the massive creature to Jarad drains all opponents of their life totals simultaneously, bypassing combat and opposing blockers entirely.
