Deck overview

This deck is an Esper discard and token-copy engine led by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. Hashaton turns every creature discarded into a 4/4 black Zombie token copy for {2}{U}. The deck leverages free discard outlets such as Tortured Existence, Songbird, Sonic Screamer, and Guardian of New Benalia, alongside cycling creatures, to cheat expensive threats onto the battlefield as 4/4 Zombie clones. Payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir, Massacre Wurm, Ashen Rider, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide one-sided board control, permanent removal, and lethal life drain. Token multipliers like Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation, Exalted Sunborn, and Wizard's Staff exponentially scale token generation, while Zombie aristocrat engines such as Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver and The Scarab God maintain resilient card flow and backup threats. The list closes games through a blend of wide Zombie combat swings and non-combat life drain.
