Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis midrange deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. It uses the Amass Orcs mechanic and Ring-tempting triggers to generate massive board presence and steady card advantage. Running nine copies of Nazgûl provides consistent Ring temptation while growing every Wraith into a formidable deathtouch threat. Sauron converts every Ring trigger into a fresh four-card hand, discarding Incarnations like Anger and Wonder into the graveyard to grant haste and flying to your forces. A strong suite of low-cost counterspells, targeted removal, and board wipes protects your board while slowing down opponents. High-impact cards such as All Will Be One, Sauron, Lord of the Rings, and Living Death give the deck explosive damage output and strong recovery against opposing sweepers, resulting in a resilient combat-focused finish.
