Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari aristocrats-reanimator list helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The plan is to fill the graveyard through self-mill and sacrifice, rack up experience counters, and repeatedly return value creatures with Meren's end-step trigger. Drain engines (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Poison-Tip Archer, Syr Konrad, the Grim) convert every death into life-loss, while recursive fodder (Reassembling Skeleton, Nether Traitor, Bloodghast) and mass recursion (Living Death, Victimize, Sheoldred, Whispering One) keep the engine running. Big ETB payoffs such as Archon of Cruelty, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Hornet Queen close games once reanimated. Tutors like Buried Alive, Fiend Artisan, and Birthing Pod assemble the pieces, and the deck grinds efficiently in multiplayer through attrition and inevitable drain.
