Deck overview

This Abzan deck uses Karador, Ghost Chieftain as its commander alongside Umori, the Collector as an all-creature companion. The deck uses early mana creatures and self-mill engines to quickly fill the graveyard with creature cards. This reduces Karador's casting cost to three mana while turning the graveyard into a second hand. The deck grinds opponents down through recurring enter-the-battlefield removal like Skyfisher Spider and Ravenous Chupacabra, protected from sweepers by Gaddock Teeg. Its primary win condition pairs massive undergrowth beaters like Golgari Grave-Troll, Splinterfright, and Old Stickfingers with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to drain the entire table in two consecutive turns. The list operates with exceptional resilience against creature destruction, though its strict creature-only building constraint forfeits instant-speed stack interaction and instant protection.
