Deck overview

This Sultai deck is commanded by Gonti, Canny Acquisitor and focuses on turning opponents' decks against them. The game plan starts with efficient mana ramp and low-cost evasive creatures like Baleful Strix, Faerie Mastermind, and Dauthi Voidwalker. Deploying Gonti on Turn 4 turns combat connections into exiled card advantage with color fixing and a generic mana discount. In the mid-to-late game, the deck pivots into game-ending threats including Expropriate, Sepulchral Primordial, Brainstealer Dragon, and Villainous Wealth. A flexible interaction suite featuring Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within, and Counterspell disrupts opponent lines, while Opposition Agent punishes library searches. Because the deck relies on combat connections and scaling mana rather than fast combo lines, it plays as an interactive value engine that grinds down the table over multiple combat rotations.
