Deck overview

This Jeskai Superfriends deck uses Commodore Guff to lead a planeswalker-centric control strategy. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and deploying defensive roadblocks like Wall of Denial, Silent Arbiter, and Fog Bank to protect your life total and planeswalker loyalty. Once Commodore Guff enters on Turn 4, his abilities generate mana tokens and draw cards while chipping away at opposing life totals. Mid-game turns layer high-impact planeswalkers such as Narset of the Ancient Way, Chandra, Legacy of Fire, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion, supported by asymmetric sweepers like Urza's Ruinous Blast. The deck closes out games around Turn 8 by stacking planeswalker burn triggers, proliferating loyalty counters with cards like Flux Channeler, or converting planeswalkers into an airborne Dragon strike force using Sarkhan the Masterless.
