Deck overview

This Temur Spellslinger deck is commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus, leveraging his unique ability to grant instant and sorcery cards flashback, specifically discounting Lesson cards to a single generic mana. The deck accelerates through a dense suite of 1–2 CMC mana rocks, cost reducers, and dorks such as Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius and Catalyst Stone, which reduce Lesson flashback costs to {0}. Once Iroh is deployed on Turn 4, the graveyard functions as a second hand. On Turn 5, the deck attacks with Iroh to generate Firebending mana and chains cheap Lessons and cantrips to trigger magecraft engines like Archmage Emeritus, Ashling, Flame Dancer, and Birgi, God of Storytelling. The game ends in a single decisive turn through lethal Longshot, Rebel Bowman pings, massive Crackle with Power casts, or the infinite mana loop of Jeska's Will and Reiterate.
