The Lord of the Eagles by Growlmar

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue flying-tribal deck helmed by The Lord of the Eagles, using a wide board of Birds, Faeries, Sphinxes, and Spirits to discount its expensive commander down to a workable cost. The core game plan is to deploy cheap evasive creatures, generate card advantage through spells like Sphinx of Enlightenment, Into the Fae Court, and Uncover the Moon-Letters, then finish via repeated flying combat damage, often with Sword Coast Sailor making the commander unblockable. The deck has no infinite combos; incidental milling from Screaming Swarm and Mindscour Dragon is a subtheme rather than a real win condition. It plays as a draw-go tempo strategy: hold up countermagic, develop flyers, and use the commander's flash to press advantages on opponents' end steps.
