Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Howling Abomination is a haste-heavy RG spell-slinger deck that uses The Howling Abomination as a living projectile: every instant or sorcery aimed at it makes it bigger and deals damage to all opponents. The core plan is to land the commander on turns 3-4, then chain cheap cantrips and pump spells, doubled by Leyline of Resonance or Frontline Heroism, until it reaches lethal size-either crashing in for commander damage with Kediss, or firing off Chandra's Ignition to nuke the table. Backup lines use Zada/Mirrorwing to spread spells across a token army, with Storm-Kiln Artist generating Treasures for an eventual buyback-storm loop. The deck is explosive but linear, with only a handful of tutors and no mass protection.
