Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on generating a large army of Undead tokens through sacrifice and tribal synergy. The deck establishes early board presence using low-cost Zombies and mana rocks before deploying Gisa on Turn 4 or 5. Once operational on Turn 6, Gisa converts high-power Zombies into multiple 2/2 tokens, which are rapidly buffed by tribal lords like Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper. The deck converts token generation and creature death into overwhelming board presence, card draw via Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur, and life drain through Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck lacks stack interaction, dedicated tutors, and artifact removal, it makes up for these gaps with deep graveyard recursion, resilient death triggers, and asymmetric creature suppression via Noxious Ghoul and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, closing games around Turn 8.
