Deck overview

This Simic deck, helmed by Primo, the Unbounded, is a high-synergy +1/+1 counters and X-spell strategy. It aims to deploy massive hydras and fractal tokens through X-cost spells, then leverage counter doublers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season to create an unstoppable board. The commander's ability to generate fractal tokens from 0-power creatures provides incremental value, while Simic Ascendancy offers an alternate win condition. The deck packs a dense interaction suite - 13 counterspells, efficient removal, and stack protection - to safeguard its threats and disrupt opponents. Its speed is moderate, typically winning through combat or Simic Ascendancy around turn 7.
