The Reason We Have Rule 0 by 666Thanatos666

Format: Commander

Commander: Talion, the Kindly Lord

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Dimir cEDH control-combo deck built around Talion, the Kindly Lord as an incremental value engine rather than a required piece. The deck's primary plan is to empty its own library with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact and win with Thassa's Oracle, protected by a dense suite of free counterspells and instant-speed interaction. It supports this with a full complement of one-mana tutors and fast mana, plus powerful draw engines like Necropotence, Ad Nauseam, Rhystic Study, and Mystic Remora. Backup wins include Notion Thief plus Windfall into Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, and Hullbreaker Horror loops with cheap mana rocks. Talion provides card advantage and reach, but the deck can execute its entire game plan without ever casting the commander.
