Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Naya midrange aggro list led by Toph, the First Metalbender. The strategy turns lands and nontoken artifacts into resilient, scaling creature threats using the Earthbend mechanic. Early turns establish a steady mana base with land ramp and artifact fixing. On turn 4, Toph begins animating lands and granting them +1/+1 counters along with built-in recursion whenever they die or are exiled. In the midgame, explosive payoffs such as Toph, Greatest Earthbender, Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender, and Bumi, Unleashed grant double strike, massive counter boosts, and extra combat steps. The deck thrives on combat pressure and board-wipe resilience, as wiped land creatures return directly to the battlefield tapped. While it lacks stack-based countermagic and fast infinite combos, it delivers consistent, compounding creature beats and one-sided sweeps through Urza's Ruinous Blast.
