Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Naya lands strategy commanded by Hazezon, Shaper of Sand. It focuses on utilizing Desert lands, land sacrifice, and cycling to flood the battlefield with 1/1 Sand Warrior creature tokens. By replaying Deserts directly from the graveyard, the deck maintains a steady flow of resources and board presence without depleting cards in hand. Support pieces like Ancient Greenwarden, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Hour of Promise accelerate land drops, while payoffs such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Warleader's Call, and Craterhoof Behemoth translate wide token swarms into decisive damage. The deck features robust engine recovery thanks to Hazezon's low casting cost and intrinsic graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to sweepers due to minimal reactive protection spells.
