Explorers of the Deep by user3330782

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul leads a Simic Merfolk tribal deck focused on board expansion, exploration triggers, and aggressive combat scaling. The primary win condition is overwhelming opponents through unblockable or evasive combat damage generated by +1/+1 counters and tribal lords. Hakbal drives the engine by triggering explore for every Merfolk on each combat step, filtering draws, accelerating lands onto the battlefield, and steadily buffing your creatures. Secondary win conditions leverage one-sided bounce spells like Wave Goodbye and evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams or Mist Dancer to push through lethal damage across all opponents.
