Shadowborn God Version by adadada

Format: Commander

Commander: Athreos, God of Passage

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Shadowborn Apostle-centric Orzhov aristocrats strategy led by Athreos, God of Passage. The primary game plan is to swarm the battlefield with 28 copies of Shadowborn Apostle, using Thrumming Stone to chain them into play, then sacrifice six to tutor any Demon from the library. The deck's win condition is a drain engine: Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and The Meathook Massacre convert each death into life loss for all opponents. Secondary paths include Bolas's Citadel for top-deck casting, Razaketh, the Foulblooded as a tutor engine, and Archfiend of Despair / Bloodletter of Aclazotz to double life loss. Athreos, God of Passage acts as a recursion engine, returning Apostles to hand unless opponents pay 3 life, taxing their resources while you rebuild.
